The other difference I'm aware of is that the back of the seat is orange on a jap and black on an American. The Jap model also has orange side plastics. I'm no expert on this but your right about the Jap model being metal and the American model being wooden. Just hoping to do all my homework before I buy. Is there any difference here (some newer than other or better) Is this the only difference?
